Bhapa Pitha is straight from Bangladesh cuisine – a steamed rice cake which is stuffed with shredded coconut and molasses. This is an ideal dish for weight watchers which can be prepared sans oil. Ingredients You Require
1 cup rice flour; ¾ cup shredded coconut; ½ cup dates molasses/ shredded jaggery; Salt and water as required
Sieve the flour and add salt, ½ cup of coconut. Now, mix the flour by adding a little amount of water without making it either as a batter or as a dough. Just make it wet.
Method To Prepare
Boil water in a large bowl and cover it with a plate which contains a few holes or aluminium foil (Use a fork to pierce the covered aluminium foil).
Fill half of the ramekin/ small bowl with prepared flour and sprinkle some shredded coconut, jaggery over the flour, then spread another layer with flour and complete the process.
Cover it with soaked muslin cloth and place on the plate/ aluminium foil and remove the bowl as shown below and cover it with a lid. Steam it for 8-10 minutes. Do the same process for the remaining flour.

Note: One can replace aloo masala, minced chicken fry instead of coconut and jaggery.
