They say 'Best things come in small packages', don't you agree with this axiom! You may or may not, but after going through the write-up, you'll definitely agree with it. Gone are the days when the directors struggled a lot to get the best, out of a song. After a scuffle with their brains, someone introduced the concept of 'Special Appearances'. The cameos are being appreciated and are received very well by the audiences. So the makers are pulling out all stops to maximise the impact and guarantee the best bang for the audiences' buck. Here is a list of few, have a look.
Ram Charan – Khaidi No 150
Megastar Chiranjeevi's comeback film is well received by the audience and created new records at the box-office. Chiru who is the king of grace movements shook his legs with his son Ram Charan in the peppy number 'Ammadu Let's Do Kummudu…'.
Nagarjuna – Akhil
This quinquagenarian is still a heartthrob for many! Either for his fitness or for his romantic looks, he is still acclaimed with the same affection. He danced a bit of his famous song 'Atta Erri Mokalesukuni Sutarenti Ra....Vaayinchandi' from Hello Brother with Akhil and Sayesha's debut film Akhil.
Nagarjuna, Rana, and co – Dongaata
Lakshmi Machu starrer Dongaata features many stars like Nagarjuna, Manchu Manoj, Rana Daggubati, Ravi Teja, Taapsee Pannu, Simbu, Nani, Sudheer Babu, Sushanth and Navadeep. All together rocked the floor in the song.
Nani – D For Dopidi
Being the proud producer of the crime comedy D For Dopidi, Nani urged to make a promotional song and the crew wanted him to be the protagonist of the play. Nani turned the heads with his simple yet elegant moves.
Lakshmi Manchu – Doosukeltha
Lakshmi Manchu revitalises our mood with her enliven performances, right! Whatever she does either game shows or movies, everything is a sensation. She is seen in the 'Apudapudu...' song in her brother's flick Doosukeltha enacting the role of tribal women.
Venkatesh – Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum
Venkatesh brings life to any character either it may be Gharshana, Malliswari or Masala. Ballari Babu shook his booty with Rana alongside Sameera Reddy in Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum and set fire with his impressive expressions.
Suriya, Bharath, Tamannaah and co – Rangam
Kollywood actors Ajith, Suriya, Tamannaah, Sanjana Singh, Shiva, Jayam Ravi, Karti, Bharath, Atharva, etc., and music director Harris Jayaraj too made a special appearance in the song 'Aga Naga...', which stood as the main highlight for the movie.
Chiranjeevi – Magadheera
After a long gap, Megastar Chiranjeevi sparkled on the big screen in a song in his son's film Magadheera. He appeared in his yesteryear’s famous song 'Bangaru Kodipetta...' which is recreated for Magadheera and entertained the fans. Chiru also made his appearance in Ram Charan's Bruce Lee as well.
Anushka, Genelia, Charmy and Co – King
Glam queens Anushka, Genelia, Priyamani, Charmy, Sneha Ullal and Kamna Jethmalani romanced Nag in a song from the movie King. After watching SRK's Om Shanti Om, Sreenu Vaitla wanted to make a song featuring our Tollywood divas and thus the song happened.
NTR Jr – Chintakayala Ravi
Dance is his forte and not even a single song of him completes without a dance move. NTR agreed to the cameo as he shares a special bond with the movie producer Nallamalupu Srinivas (Bujji). He danced alongside Venkatesh, Anushka and Nikitha for the song 'Shava Shava Balle Balle...' for which he garnered cheers from both the audiences and the actors.
Allu Arjun, Ravi Teja – Shankar Dada Zindabad
This is not the first time Bunny has appeared in a cameo. Do you remember the movie Daddy, where Bunny played a small role which went unnoticed? Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja and Bunny appeared in the song 'Jagadeka Veerudiki Athiloka Sundariki...' from Shankardada Zindabad. You can also have a glimpse of actor Nagababu and actor-director-choreographer Prabhu Deva.
Pawan Kalyan – Shankar Dada M.B.B.S
How entertaining it would be to watch Megastar and Powerstar together on silver screen. Everyone was dumbfounded in the theatres after watching the song 'Na Pere Kanchanamala…' in which you find this rare screen presence by the two biggies. Though Pawan Kalyan appeared for a blink movement, he spread all his charm around.
What is pondering about, if you think that cameo appearances have started recently, then you're wrong? One of the songs from Venkatesh's film Trimurtulu features Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Balakrishna, Krishna, Krishnam Raju, Murali Mohan, Shoban Babu, Vijayashanti, Radha, Bhanupriya, Sumalatha, Radhika, etc., all in one frame.
